The University of Suffolk and the South West Grid for Learning (SWGfL) are researching women’s experiences of online abuse and harassment, including online abuse experienced in the context of abusive or harassing offline relationships.
We’re asking women who live in the UK and who are 18 years or older to fill out our short survey (it should take no more than 10 minutes).
By completing this survey, participants will help us to understand the forms of online abuse and harassment they have experienced, whether they were provided with the appropriate guidance, tools and support, and the impact this harmful behaviour had on them.
This study is intended to help both organisations develop more effective ways to tackle online abuse and hold those abusing others to account. Research data is also meant to ensure that women experiencing online abuse can find the most appropriate information, tools and support.

Professionals
We also have a survey aimed at professionals who live in the UK and who are 18 years or older who work with women experiencing online abuse and harassment. The survey for professionals will help us learn more about:
The forms of online abuse you have seen as a professional
The outcomes you have seen for service users reporting online abuse
Your experiences in working with service users experiencing online abuse
If you had the information and resources you needed as a professional
If you or anyone you know is a professional supporting women, affected by online abuse and harassment and would like to take part in this survey, please visit the link below.
